The following was originally written for design professionals in order to give them a basic understanding of the steps involved in the selection and application of interior wood finishes. It is presented in the Wood Kote Product Catalog as a service to our customers.

Reasons for wood finishes:

Various products are applied to wood for the following reasons:

• 1. Enhancement of appearance
• 2. Preservation of the appearance
• 3. Protection of the wood and appearance
• 4. Provide an easy to clean surface

Quality of wood finishes:

The value of a wood finish can be judged by the following factors:

Some products will incur in an additional $25.00 charge due to their hazardous materials clasification. This charge will be added to the cost of the product and will not show on your invoice. We will call or email you after your order has been placed to confirm the additional fee to be added to the total of your order. After you have confirmed the additional HAZ-MAT fee your credit card will be processed and the fee will show up on the sales reciept you recieve with your order. We apologize for this great inconveniance and wish that it was up to us.
