Lite-N-Up Wood Bleach

Basic Description

Lite-N-Up wood bleach is a two part, peroxide, liquid wood bleach that will remove the natural color from bare wood. Lite-N-Up components are mixed before use and the severity of wood bleaching can be changed by altering the strength of the Lite-N-Up wood bleach solution in addition to applying the solution multiple times.

Technical Description

Lite-N-Up is intended for professional use only. It is a 2-component liquid wood bleach system that will remove the natural color from bare wood. The Lite-N-Up components are mixed prior to application and the degree of bleaching can be controlled by the strength of the Lite-N-Up solution and the number of applications. It may be used prior to the application of a variety of other Wood Kote products. Please refer to the Wood Kote Schedule of Product Compatibility and Recommended Dry Times. Lite-N-Up contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and is not a coating, and thus it is not subject to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) VOC emission requirements for Architectural and Industrial Maintenance (AIM) coatings (effective 13Sep99) or California SCAQMD Rule 1113 (effective 14May99).

Coverage

Depending on the application technique and porosity of the wood, one brush application of Lite-N-Up pre-mixed solution will cover approximately 500 sq ft/gal (12,2 m2/L).

Composition & Properties

Lite-N-Up Wood Bleach kits consist of equal volumes of “A” and “B” components. Component “A” is an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide. Component “B” is an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide combined with special buffers.

Types

Dye Stain-A UV is available from the factory in 28 colors. Dye Stain-A UV colors can be reduced or intermixed to achieve a wide variety of custom colors.

Sizes

Lite-N-Up is available from the factory in a standard concentration. Prior to the application, the components can be mixed in varying proportions to achieve a wide variance in bleaching action.
